I have the honour to transmit for your consider-
ation the enclosed letter aldressed to you by Misses Franklin, Gorham eni Stollard, Bursing sisters in the Government Civil Hospital, with
regard to the rate of pay which they will drew in the event of their
being placed on the permanent staff at the conclusion of their
present temporary agreements.

Beyond allowing these ladies to begin drawing
the maximum salary of their post. under the Sterling Scheme, a
privilege which has already been granted under my authority in the
case of Miss Waker, I regret that I cannot recommend any further
indulgence. The maximum pay to which I refer is £150 per annum
inclusive.
