Part. I

For Chinese Medical Officers - Licentiates of the College

of Medicine for Chinese.

Salary £120 a year on appointment rising by annual increments of £5 to £180 a year, without private practice.

'At the end of the three years service he may, his previous conduct being satisfactory, enter the permanent service of the Colony. Should he desire to draw the annual increment of

£5 as mentioned in paragraph 1, he must sign an agreement to

serve the Government for three years, and at the end of this

second period he may rejoin as before, and so on, until he has

attained the maximum salary of £180.

An Officer at the end of his first, second or third period of service, who is unwilling to enter upon an

agreement, may join, or continue in, the permanent service, but

he will not be able to draw a salary higher than that which he

drew in the last year of his previous agreement.

Part. II.

For Chinese Medical Officers who hold the Licence of an

American University or some other similar qualifications

recognised under Section II of Part II of the Medical Act 188€

as entitling to registration in Great Britain and Ireland

without further examination.
