The information and complaint of Kong Ngau Ying

taken this day before me, the undersigned one of His Majesty's Justices of the Feace in and for the said Colony who states:-

1. I am a fish hawker carrying on business in

Hongkong.

2. In 1900 and January, 1901, I was employed by Ng Shui Shang (alias Ng Lo Sam), whom I have known many years, as an informer, he was then living in o Fung Street, Victoria, Hongkong.

3. In September, 1900, I was employed by Ng Shui Shang to trace persons who had taken part in the recent rebellion in Weichow in the Frovince of Kwang-tung and had taken refuge in Hongkong: one of the leading rebels named Yeung Kui Wan was then residing in Hongkong and acting as a Schoolmaster.

On or about the 5th. day of October, 1900, Ng

Shui Shang said to me, in his house in No Fung Street aforesaid *Yeung Kui Wan cannot be taken to Canton, can you find a man to "murder him ?" I said I could not. He said "All right I will go

"up with you to Canton and I will get Ma Wong Hoi's party".

On the following day Ng Shui Shang and I went to Canton, and on or about the 12th. October returned to Hongkong.

5. At the same time a party of minor Chinese Officials

came to Hongkong to consult with Ng Shui Shang about killing Yeung Kui Man.

This party included Yeung Tsing Kai, who was

Captain of the Chinese Gunboat "Kin Yui" and was under the orders

of Li Ka Cheuk, the Commandant of the Canton City Guard.

The "Kin Yui" Gunboat came to Hongkong frequently
