more Anglo-Chinese Schools rather than to the institution of
a Scholarship.

the Oxford Local Examinations, and the Inspector of Schools
is considering the question of better adapting the syllabus
of those examinations to local requirements.

present in the matter of the fomation of a Cadet corps,

subject of the proposed Chinese High School, the promoters
of which have applied for Government assistance in the shape
of a free grant of land as a site for the School.
