I have the honour to forward you a letter
which I have received from the Venerable Archdeacon Banister,
the chief purport of which is a request for an additional area
of land adjoining the site already granted to the Church
Missionary Society for the erection of a School near Kowloon
City.
At present the matter stands thus. The
Honourable
Society has been granted:-

An area of about 30,000 Square feet (Kowloon Inland Lot 1116) for the erection of a School.
An area (6,977 Square feet) equivalent to that of Kowloon Inland Lot 768 which is to be surrendered to Government to admit of the removal of the Church at present occupy- ing that lot in order to facilitate develop- ments in this district.
An additional area of 5,000 Square feet, granted on account of the entire site being removed to less favourable, because steeper, ground.
The further additional area now applied
for is 14,728 Square feet, and the reasons for asking for it
are stated in Archdeacon Banister's letter.
There is no objection to granting the extension applied for. The whole area hitherto granted has been
given free of premium and subject to the nominal rental of $1
per annum for bot 1116 and $5 for Lot 768. I presume that any further
