Pornosa and Amoy, Pormosa and Hongkong, and Formosa and

Jigan, etc.. The transhipment to Rurope of Formosa goods

takes place either in Japan or Hongkong, the quickest route being Hongkong •

To enable you to make enquiries, wo give you?

the following dates:

By the s/s "ALEXANDRIA” bill of lading eated Porkorg

28th. August;

By the s/s "MARBERG" bill of lading duted Hongkong

29th. November;

and we have now by the "NURNBERG" and by the

*SAMBIA", now on passage, sone further parcels shipped

from Hongkong•

We should feel obliged if you coule do

anything to assist the British Colony against this

unreasonable imposition, as there can be no possible reason

whatever why the goods should of necessity have to be

sent to Japan and then to France vis Pongkong instead of

being sent direct to Hongkong for transhipment.
