land to be acquired by the War

Department at Devil's Peak and Victoria Peak, the valuation of the areas required respectively for (a) Barracks, (b) fortifications, (c)

rifle ranges, and (d) training ground, should be separately stated.

A further communication will short be made on these points. In fur- nishing your report you should

arrange the plots in the order of importance which you attach to thef acquisition, and forward the detai

of the valuation.

5. In view of the urgent representations made by the Civil Government for the acquisition of the land at Kowloon, you will give precedence in the transactions to

the acquisition of the land at
