(4) For the purpose of an investigation under this Part shipping a shipping casualty shall be deemed to occur--
casualties. (M. S. A., 1894,
(7.) When on or near the coasts of the Colony any see, 464)
ship is lost, abandoned, or materially damaged; (6.) When on or near the coasts of the Colony any
ship has been stranded or damaged, and any witness is found in the Colouy;
(c) When on or near the coasts of the Colony any ship causes loss or material damage to any other ship;
(d.) When any loss of life ensues by reason of any casualty happening to or on board any ship on or near the coasts of the Colony:
(e) When in any place any such loss, abandonment, inaterial damage, or casually as above mentioned occurs, and any witness is found in the Colony; (A) When in any place any British or Colonial ship is stranded or damaged, and any witness is found in the Colony;
(g.) When any British or Colonial ship is lost or is sup- posed to have been lost, and any evidence is obtain- able in the Colony as to the eircumstances muder which she proceeded to sen or was last beard of.
11. The wording of section 19 sub-section 4 might advantageously be brought into unison with sub-section 5 by inserting "British or Colonial " wherever that word occurs.
