I do not know what is the status of this League and what
authority it has to speak for China merchants but its
views differ from those of the China association, which,
(see 12839) desires the abolition of the system of
Foreign Agencies.
? Say that the cuestion of establishing an Agency at
Tientsin to be worked in connection with the Post Office
Either of Hongkong or WeiHaiWei is receiving the attention
of those two Corts.
