Pofcrring to my report of the 15th intent on

the proposed French Post Office about to be estab-

lished in Amoy, I have now the honour to stete that

on learning that special permission would be neces-

sery before a room in the British Concession could

to sublet to him, the Director of French Telegre,dis

proceeded to hire a rock in the street behind the

Concess lon end proposes to open the new Post Office

on the lat of February.
