I am commanded by the Lords Commissioners of the

Admiralty to thank you for your communication of the 17th

September 1902, relative to the supply of water during the

recent drought at Hong Kong. The two reports enclosed

therewith are returned, as requested.

2. My Lords will be glad to know what permanent

steps are being taken to improve the water supply, and

whether a copy of the reports mentioned in your letter

dated 12th July 1902, will be sent for Their information.
