am directed by r Sec Ch to ack the re-
ceipt of your letter of the 4th inst, N6336,
and to ask you to thank the. L.C. of the Admty
for consenting to the discharge from the
Royal Marines of those men of that Corps who
are now serving in the Police Force of Hong
Kong.
2. As Bombardier John Devney is one of
the persons affected by this arrangement. I am
to enquire whether their Lordships wish any
the
action to be taken on your letter from the
Deputy Adjutant General Royal Marines, of the
28th ult No 2979/02.
