following Boards and Public Bodies:-
(1) The Legislative Council;

The Standing Law Committee;

The Public Works Committee;

The Tung Wah Hospital Committee;

The Po Leung Kuk Committee;
(6)
The Medical Board;
(7)
The Examination Board;
(8)
The Sanitary Board;
(9)
The District Watchmen Committee;
(10)
The Governing Body of the Queen's College;
(11)
The College of Medicine for Chinese;
(12)
The Charitable Free Hospitals;
(13)
As a Justice of the Peace.
With the exception of the membership of the Sanitary
Board and of the Public Works Committee I am still holding
all the above apointments. I have also served on nearly
all the Public Committees and Commissions which have been
appointed from time to time, and during my tenure of the
various offices I have frequently found to my loss that the public duties incidental thereto frequently clashed with my interest as a professional man, but I have always cheerfully and unhesitatingly sacrificed my time and fees
I have to further the objects of my various appointments. also been frequently made use of as a means of communica- -tion between the various Government Departments and the Chinese, and I have rendered numerous voluntary services to the Colonial Secretariat and to the Registrar-General's Office. When successive Governors and High Officials of this Colony desired my opinion and advice on any question relating to Chinese Law and usuages or on any matter affecting the interest and well-being of the Chinese Community or the welfare of this Colony I have always freely given my opinion and advice both written and oral.
