With reference to your Circular Despatch
of the 9th. September, 1902, I have the honour to transmit
for your information the enclosed copy of a letter from the
Secretary of the Hongkong General Chamber of Commerce, and to
state that I was advised in Executive Council on the 16th.
instant that this Colony should take common action with the
other British Colonies in regard to the adoption of a Metric
System of Weights and Measures for use within the Empire.
