As the Rifle Association possesses no claims to its
ground, I should suggest that it removes the only difficulty
in the way of the Colonial Government granting us this ground
to complete our Range.
There is no doubt but what arrangements could be made
and privileges granted to the Rifle Association to continue to
use our Range.
I should also wish to point out that the letter from
home giving instructions to me to proceed with this is dated
1st February 1892; already six months have passed, and our
application was made with great hopes, and wishes that this
request for the extension of existing Ranges would be favour-
ably considered and granted, and the work completed, and the
Ranges ready for instruction of Fleet in October.
