To take charge of the Botanical Gardens and of Afforestation work in the Colony. To advise Government on questions of introduction of trees, and plants of economic or agricultural value. The candi- date must therefore have good Scientific training.

Balary and emoluments, and whe- ther secured by permanent law.

£500 a year rising by triennial increments. of 240 to £820;

$360 a year is allowed for Chair coolies.

The office is pensionable.

Free quarters, unfurnished, the value of which will not count for pension purposes.

The house provided oooupies an excellent site in the Botanical Gardens.
