620 has been credited to the Vote "Dredging Foreshores". This year, very little of such work has been performed and the amount received for it has been credited to Miscellaneous Receipts. There has also been a considerable expenditure account of cleaning out Bowrington Canal.
Items (4) and (6) are due to recent increased expenditure upon roads, largely due to increase in the traffic.
With regard to item (6), considerable extra expenditure has been entailed by the cleaning out of Albany Nullah, where it passes through the Naval Yard. This had become necessary in order to obviate the flooding of the yard during heavy rainstorms.
Item (7) is due to the increase in the number of lamps in consequence of the lighting of private lanes and streets (Ordinance No. 13 of 1901, subsections 85 and 86).
Item (8) is entirely due to expenditure incurred in obtaining a supply.
