Bath-houses for Chinese on Inland Lot 316.

The scheme includes bath-houses for both sexes.

The men's bath-house consists of 28 divisions, lined with glazed bricks; each division to have a small Shanghai tub.

The women's bath-house contains ten cubicles built of white glazed bricks; each cubicle to have a small Shanghai tub.

A boiler-house and quarters for a caretaker are provided and supplies of hot and cold water will be laid to convenient points.

The Shanghai tubs are heavy earthenware moveable baths, glazed internally, and are in general use in Hongkong and neighbouring ports.

The whole of the buildings are to be built of Canton red bricks and plastered externally.

The glazed bricks and tiles will be obtained from Messrs. Shewan, Tomes and Company and are made locally.

The total estimated cost of the work is $10,000.
