I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your despatch No.2561 of the 17th ult. and to inform you that Sir W. J. Garstin, the C.A. have been instructed to pay D. Larson's pension at the rate of $1635 instead of at the higher rate of $2494 per year from 1st August. It appears to me that under
