SIR,

I have the honour to transmit for your information and covering authority for the expenditure that has been incurred the enclosed copies of Financial Minutes Nos. 1 to 22, the sums detailed in which have been voted by the Legislative Council during the current year to date.
The first Vote was rendered necessary by the delay in completing the new Quarters for the Gaol Staff.
The second Vote was taken in order to render available the unexpended balances on the Votes taken in the 1901 Estimates for items Nos. 1 to 15 and the unexpended balances on the Votes taken in the Legislative Council during 1901 in aid of items 1 and 12 and for the whole estimated expenditure on items 14 to 23. I attach copies of the Votes in Council referred to.
The third Vote was taken to enable the Cattle Crematorium for which a Vote of $2,020 was taken in 1901 to be completed and to meet the cost of a Refuse Destructor of 1 cell only for the destruction of rubbish removed from Plague infected houses. Both these works were considered urgent.
Vote No. 4. The repairs to the former
