(8-9). The impossibility of selecting any one site in Hong Kong which would be accessible to all the chief "children centres" forced itself early upon me. I had contemplated a launch service to collect the scholars, but it would not do. The separate existence of two schools is contemplated in the Report, section 60.

The Estimates for Victoria British School and the Kowloon British School are identical. I have not forgotten the recommendation contained in section 61 of the Report that a boarding house should be connected with the Victoria British School. There are, however, many technical and different points to be solved in connection with such a boarding house; and I prefer to let the whole question stand over until the school is opened, and I can profit by the opinions, formed upon the facts as seen by them, of the Headmaster and Mistress. I ask leave to select the Officers to fill these appointments myself when at home. A supplementary vote for the boarding house can, if necessary, be taken next year.

I imagine that the consent of Mr. Belilios will have to be obtained to the proposed change in the use of the building presented by him to the Government. Also, that the Reformatory Act should be repealed.
