least $600 more will lapse from 1st May to 31st August inclusive, total $1,384.07 from the item salaries of Queen's College, provided for 1902, which would more than cover the $600 required for the last four months of the year, as salary for this additional master, whose services would be the more valuable, the earlier they could be availed of.
A further serious matter for consideration is the notice from Mr. James Cheong that he intends proceeding to England at the end of July, thus terminating the Acting Appointment he has held for over three years since 1st April, 1899 (CSO47/1899).
