I suppose this refers to my letter Hay Rony; and that the post which an European domiciled in Hong Kong is not ordinarily entrusted (His name was Thomson; so it is not obvious why this should be assumed.
The Salaries Committee considered this man's salary (or rather his predecessor's), and recommended $576.
In the scheme in 23432/01, $720 is recommended.
