I am directed by Mr Sec Ch to offer you the appointment of Second Health Officer of the Port of Hong Kong. The salary of this post is at the rate of £480 a year rising by triennial increments of £40 to £720 a year.
2. For purposes of local payment this salary will be converted into dollars at a rate of exchange which will be fixed annually by the Govt and will be based on the average exchange value of the dollar during the preceding twelve months.
3. You will receive no allowances of any kind in addition to your salary and no quarters will be provided. Private practice is not allowed.
4. Your duties will be the ordinary duties of a Port Health Officer but you must understand that you will be under the orders of the P.C.M.O. and may be required if necessary to ...
