With reference to the correspondence noted in the margin, relative to the alleged delay in Naval Quarrying Works caused by the exercise of restrictions on the part of the Colonial Government, I have the honour to inform you that the matter has now been settled on a satisfactory basis, the Government having granted to Messrs. Punchard, Lowther and Company a lease of the quarrying rights which they desire, upon payment of a monthly rental of $500.
