In reply to your Despatch No. 416 of the 13th ultimo, I have the honour to inform you that the Committee appointed last year by Sir Henry Blake to enquire into the working of Queen's College and other educational questions has not yet completed its investigations, which include a consideration of the point raised by you in the 5th paragraph of your Despatch No. 408 of the 6th ultimo. As soon as the Committee has sent in its Report, I will again address you on the subject of Queen's College and Education generally in Hongkong.
