I am directed by the Secretary of State for the Colonies to request that your Office could furnish him with copies of any reports which have been recently made on the Bubonic Plague and on the Sanitation of Hongkong since its appearance there in 1894, and also with a copy of Mr. Chadwick's report on the drainage of Hongkong. I shall be very much obliged if you could kindly provide these documents as I should like to have the opportunity of studying them on the voyage.
