Sir,
With reference to the correspondence noted in the margin,
I have the honour to inform you that I have selected
Mr W. Hunter M.B. C.M.
for appointment as Bacteriologist in
Hong Kong.
The Crown Agents will be desired to provide him, on his signing
the usual agreement, with
free passage to the Colony by the
Japanese Mail of the 17th prox.
You will be good enough to give him a formal letter of
appointment when he arrives in the Colony, stating that you appoint
him on the conditions embodied in his correspondence with this
Department, copies of which are enclosed for
your information.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient humble Servant,
The Officer administering
the Government of Hong Kong.
