With further reference to your letter of the 31st October last, and previous correspondence regarding the case of the man above named, I have to acquaint you, for the information of Mr Secretary Chamberlain, that Mr Davidson, 346 Coldharbour Lane, has now been supplied with a certified copy of the marriage register at Trinity Church, Upper Chelsea, which he has compared with the register itself, a certified copy of the register at Somerset House. He will therefore be able to give the evidence and produce the documents necessary to prove the first marriage and as he has frequently seen Mrs Hanson during the past three months and proposes to see her again before starting for Hong Kong he will be able to settle the question as to her being alive when Hanson went through the form of marriage at Hong Kong.
Mr Davidson has received his passage ticket and he will sail for Hong Kong on the 3rd proximo.
I am, Sir,
Your obedient Servant.
