would be glad if the offer could be made
again to T. H. Martin
on the scale of salary proposed: the duties and conditions of the post remaining the same
and if

steps could at the same time be taken
to nominate a candidate

other vacancy, or for both in the event of Mr. Martin
declining
again.
3. It is understood
that Mr. R.A.J. Savage,

wishes to become
a
candidate for
the post,
subject to the increase of the
minimum salary. If
that is the case Mr. Chamberlain would be glad to be placed in possession of the Postmaster General's opinion as to this officer's fitness for the post.
