in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General, the amendments which you suggest, I see no objection to them, with the exception of the proposal to amend rules 115 and 116, relating to the manner in which Imprest to Sub-Accountants should be accounted for by the Treasurer.
3. I enclose for your information copies of the letters from the Comptroller and Auditor General, dealing with some aspects of the system of accounting Imprest in Cyprus. In this correspondence it is suggested that the method of treating Imprest to Public Offices which is in force in Imperial Accounts should be introduced in the Colony. As a consequence of this proposal, rules 115 and 116, which follow the Imperial practice, were introduced with the Financial Instructions on revision.
