CIRCULAR.

No 171. The docketing should be convenient and we request Hongkong to comply with this regulation if other colonies do it.

No 177. The duplicati Schedule is, I know, sent from the W. Indian Colonies and should certainly be sent here.

I propose to call the attention of all Eastern Colonies (except Mauritius & Seychelles) to their regulation and request their observance.

I think there should be registered Inducas lirie.

Downing Street,

5th October, 1894,

I have the honour to request you to forward in future two copies of the Schedule of the Despatches addressed to me by each Mail with the Despatches instead of only one copy as at present.

In reply to your query, I have to state that the only reason for this circular was that it was annxed to despatch No 17032 which was always therefore circulated mainly to W. Indian colonies and was not sent to Eastern Colonies.

I should now be glad to have their Eastern Colonies' views and possibly their reply.

I would like to do the favour to many Eastan colonial...

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient, humble Servant,

RIPON,
