With reference to Mr. Lucas's letter of June last No. 21315/1901, enquiring under what statute it would be possible to confiscate certain Arms exported in contravention of the Proclamation under the Exportation of Arms Act, 1900, I am directed by the Commissioners of Customs to transmit copy of a Report of their Solicitor on this point.
