With reference to Mr Antrobus' letter of the instant (8783/1901) and previous correspondence on the appointment of a Principal Warder for the Hong Kong Prison, I am directed by the Secretary for Scotland to state that he desires to recommend to the Secretary of State for the Colonies, James Moncur McLeod whose name has been submitted to him by the Prison Commissioners as a suitable candidate for the appointment.
McLeod's letter of application is transmitted herewith.
