To reply to your letter of the 5th inst. in reference to My 7/6 2 dflr. tur Lucas, & I am directed by Secretary Chamberlain to acquaint you that Secretary Brodrick deprecates any reduction of the strength of the garrison at Hongkong, without the concurrence of the G.O.C. in that Colony.
