has, in fact, not come into existence in Hong Kong, since the value of Military Lands hitherto surrendered to the Colonial Government only amounts to $42.93, although by inadvertence the colony has transferred land to the War Department of the value of $10,508; and I am again to ask you to move Mr. Brodrick to authorise the refund of the balance of $10,465.07, which is due to the Colonial Government, as pointed out in the abovementioned letter from this Department of 3rd November last.
