RECO

14 MAY OF

From His Excellency the General Officer Commanding-

1st December, 1900.

Col: Secty:

I have shewn on this tracing in pencil, how much of this area has hitherto been included in Military

Reserves; all the rest is Colonial Govt: property and con-

tains about 200,000 sq.ft. If this is taken over as

W.D. land its value, plus Crown rent capitalized, should

be credited to the Colonial Government. I value the

land at 10 cents a ft: and the Crown rent at $250 an acre. If the Reserve is to become W.D. land, it should also be

included in the transaction. On hearing whether it is

desired that the whole area should become W.D. property,

I will state the sum which should be credited to the

Colonial Govt:.

For your information and consideration.
