Hong Kong

Kowloon Water Supply.

Sir,

In reply to your letter No.42624/1901 of the 6th instant respecting the new Kowloon Water Supply, I have the honour to forward a copy of Mr Chadwick's observations on the subject from which you will see that he recommends the adoption of the scheme.

2. The points on which he states that he is not quite clear can, we should imagine, await his arrival in the Colony, for which he hopes to be able to sail soon after the middle of January.

I return as requested the original plans which accompanied your letter.

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your Obedient Servant

M Amery

Under Secretary of State,

Colonial Office.
