in order to take up permanent appointments in the Prisons Department of Hong Kong, I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the Admiralty to acquaint you that they have approved of these men being finally discharged from the Corps of Royal Marines, & the necessary orders have been given to the Commander in Chief on the China Station.
