3. I have further to inform you in confirmation of the statement made in that telegram, that I have selected Mr. M.J. Drayson, clerk of the Second Division [serving as office for the Chief Clerk] in this Office. Mr. Drayson has had nearly eighteen years' experience in this and has been in charge of a sub-division of the main Registry for some years.
4. The appointment has been offered to Mr. Drayson at an annual salary of £500 rising by annual increments of £25 to £600. Mr. Drayson will have the option of returning to this Office at the end of not less than three and not more than five years.
