(1) Deputy Superintendent, Money Order Office: The Acting Postmaster General recommended that the Storekeeper, Mr S. Moosa, who was drawing $1560. a year should be appointed to the newly created post of Deputy Superintendent Money Order Office at a salary of $1680., and that a new clerk should be engaged as Storekeeper at $720. per annum. This recommendation was approved by the Secretary of State. (C.O.D.155 of 1901).
(2) The officers at present holding the posts of Deputy Superintendent Money Order Office, Deputy Superintendent Registration Branch, 1st Clerk Money Order Office, and Examiner Marine Officer will in 1902 draw $1680., $1200., $1272., & $1200. per annum respectively, being $180., $120., $192. & $120. more than the salaries fixed for those posts under the scheme of classification of salaries of subordinate officers (Governor's despatch No.202 of 1901, Enclosure 1).
