In reply to your Despatch No.137 of the 23rd April, 1901, I have the honour to inform you that, in accordance with your approval, I have placed the sum of $5,000 in the Estimates for 1902, under the head of Miscellaneous Services, to provide for honoraria to the teaching Staff of the Chinese College of Medicine and in aid of Dispensaries in connection with that College.

2.

The Honorary Secretary of the College reports with reference to the question of the recognition of the College by the General Medical Council, that by direction of the Court he is obtaining further information regarding Institutions so recognized and the conditions of recognition and that he will forward to me the result of his investigations.
