Hongkong, 28th November, 1900.

Sir,

Referring to C.S.O.54/1900 Confidential, I have the honour to report that the three Quarry Farms for 1901 were put up for public competition today and after competition for the first two, sold as follows:-

Section 1. Hongkong upset $9,000, sold for $14,700 to Mr. Tsang Keng.

Section 2. Lok On, Taikoktsui, Matauwan, Mount Cochrane and Yaumati, upset $8,000, sold for $18,200 to Mr. Tsang Keng.

Section 3. Mataukok upset $7,000 sold for $7,200 to Mr. Li A Ping.

Total $40,100.

The Farm for current year sold for $20,400.

The Crown Solicitor should be instructed to draw up the usual leases and Security for the first two should be $3,000, for the other $800.
