I did not see what became of him afterwards.
Peak went off by himself from the Prison.
While he was walking from the hospital to the prison gate Peak was unsteady in his gait. He was not walking quite straight. He was walking by himself. He was not being supported by me or Pierpoint.
I told him that he was suspended from duty.
Peak came out of the ward without saying anything.
Just at the gate Peak asked Pierpoint if he would be allowed to see a Doctor.
Pierpoint said "No. You must go straight to your quarters and come on duty at half past five in the morning".

I think you said that you were just as fit for duty that night as ever you were and not that you were never more sober.
Pierpoint told me to get a man to replace you before he had seen you.
He said that you were to be relieved from duty before he had seen you.
Your manner was quiet and respectful that night to all your superior officers.
I met you to parade you that night at the inner gate.
