In continuation of my Despatch No.345 of the 5th instant, I have the honour to recommend that, if Dr. Jordan does not accept the office of Health Officer of the Port with the limitations stated in my Despatch, two Health Officers of the Port should be appointed at a salary of $3,600 rising to $4,200 by triennial increments of $300 with Exchange Compensation. Both Officers should be given to understand that they will not be allowed private practice of any kind.
