In continuation of my letter No. 1488 of the 19th instant, I am directed to inform you that the witnesses in the Perseverance Firm's Case have been found by the Captain, Superintendent of Police.
I shall be glad to know whether, in these circumstances, the Chinese authorities desire their attendance to give evidence at the trial in Canton.
