If this proposal is accepted, I presume the Colony will pay something beyond what they get from this addition, but it ought not to be more than $9000 per annum, approximately the arrangement for which the Commodore has agreed. I suggest that if so, the S.Gs. withhold objection. May 9/10. So proceed at once.
