I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 15th ultimo, re proposed electric tramway in Hongkong, enclosing route map.
On the latter the Military Telephone lines will be marked, and the map forwarded to the War Office with a request that expert opinion may be obtained, as to whether the proposed tramway will injuriously affect the working of the Military lines.
