I have the honour to recommend to you that Dr. J. M. Atkinson be appointed the second Health Officer of the Port, and I shall be glad if you will be good enough to communicate with Dr. Jordan to that effect.
I further recommend for your consideration the question of the selection of an Officer to serve as Second Health Officer of the Fort at a salary of $3,600 a year rising to $4,200 by triennial increments of $300, with Exchange Compensation. I enclose the usual paper of particulars.
