This is as we expected. On 25th Sir H. Blake asked for the bacteriologist but said nothing about providing apparatus. In the meantime, we asked Dr. Mauns to find out what is required.
Dr. Mauns was with me today and says that he suggests putting a sum for the apparatus on the Estimates.
And I reply that the vote may be put in the Estimate for Council's approval. In the meantime, we shall have some idea of what amount of apparatus will be wanted.
